Ascochyta has the potential to pop up in your lawn around the Cedar Rapids area. Our weather conditions have been quite favorable for this turf disease lately. Unfortunately, fungicide applications have limited success and aren’t typically recommended in treating Ascochyta.
While the treatments are limited, the affected turf grass will grow out within 3 – 4 weeks if growing conditions are favorable. The good news is that there are little to no long term effects on your lawn, though it is not always a pretty sight.
